A woman was injured when she was struck by a car while walking near an intersection in West Seattle. The driver who struck her also hit a parked car. Emergency responders transported her to Harborview Medical Center for treatment of her injuries. Her condition was listed as serious, but she is expected to survive.
The accident happened in the 4500 block of 42nd Avenue SW at roughly 10:20 a.m. All lanes of 42nd Avenue were closed near the intersection with Oregon street while investigators examined the scene. The scene is currently still blocked off at 42nd and SW Oregon.
